[edit] Policies
- Self-Titled albums should be written in the article titled Artist-name (album).
- All new templates should include <noinclude></noinclude> at the bottom of the page.
- All NPOV entries (such as album reviews and biographies with any bias) should be signed either with your full name, or with your user name.
- All articles void of any useful content will be deleted.
- When deleting pages with no content, type "no content" as the reason for deletion.
- Discussion here
- The format for article titles is as follow, but when in doubt, look at the template file when it applies:
- Artist - Artist
- Album/EP/Single - Album-name
- Song - Song-name
- If a song and an album have the same title, then the album should be Title (album), and the song should be Title (song).
- Compilations are linked as Compilation Title. Soundtracks are linked as Soundtrack:Title. Mix CDs are listed as Mix CD Title.
- Artist pages for bands with a "The" in front of the name should be listed as The So-and-So, with a re-direct on So-and-So
- If you see an article that is basically a ripped article from Wikipedia, put wikipedia at the top of it. This will make it appear on the Wikipedia Rips List, where people can see it and re-write it, to make it original content.
[edit] Helpful things to do
- If you find incorrect redirects, please correct them.
- If you intend to start an artist article, but find that there is a redirect for a moved album or song, then follow the "What Links Here" link in the toolbox in the sidebar, and make sure all of the links are updated, before starting the artist article.
- If you see a very short article that needs some TLC, put stub at the top of it. This will make it appear on the Stubs list, where people can see it and remove it.
