[edit] Band Biography
One of the most famous sketch comedy troupes to come out of England, Monty Python (née Monty Python's Flying Circus) started putting out records after the first year of the series. The first was just a compilation of stuff from the TV Show, but most of the later ones contained material either written especially for the records or at least re-written and re-performed. The band Toad The Wet Sprocket got their name from one of the bits on one of these records.
