The lead member (and sometimes only member) of The Mountain Goats, John Darnielle also writes quite a bit on his various websites about music or whatever crosses his mind. He's also been in other bands, though The Mountain Goats are the most known and the one for which it's easiest to find releases. He's also often on his forums and is reasonably accessible, although that is not him on MySpace.
